Anxiety (and panic) can be triggered by a whole bunch of things, so you're not alone in that. I hope you've found a way to deal with the feelings since you posted this!!

Do you know why you felt anxious? Has it happened before?

I've woken up like this a few times. Yes I'm a female. It happens to us too! Lol. But usually my anxiety is triggered by the dream I was having. Maybe I dreamed about an ex that hurt me. It's definitely confusing being turned on and upset at the same time! You're not alone here.

I get anxious when I'm aroused, due to my PTSD. But I think its easier when you're a woman, because I just proceed to ignore it and it goes away quickly and there aren't any visible signs...except dilated pupils. But that can be a sign of many things. If I start to feel aroused, I can stop it before it becomes full blown anxiety.
