What thoughts then go through your mind that trigger the hesitation? Fear of being overwhelmed? Fear of not being successful or performing well? Fear of catastrophy?

I honestly think that CBT (Cognative Behavior Therapy) would be helpful. The fears I mentioned above leave me often paralized to act - rather they used to. CBT has been very helpful for me. Even though it has been months since I completed the program I still use the worksheets and tools. In particular, I find the De-Catastrophizing work to be the most helpful.

De-catastrophizing worksheet:

There are great books out there on CBT. My favourite is "CBT for Dummies" which is a collection of some of the best ideas on the subject. It is full of tasks and worksheets and designed to take a 90 day format to complete.
