I signed up to try. I can let you know about it if you are interested.

I love your pic of your kitty. He/she looks very sweet. I have a calico; she keeps me calm.

Would be interested in hearing if anyone tries it out and how useful they find it.
Needs commitment and time, but its very thorough.

hope that helps

http://www.getselfhelp.co.uk/freedownloads2.htm

I found this site today and am posting it in forums where it may help others.
This link has free workseets for Social Anxiety, Worry, and many others!
It uses CBT - so if your T uses that method, it may help out a lot.

The only other one I joined was WebMD; they recently changed their format so two friends left and came over here. I'm having a problem navigating this site because there seems to be so much to learn and I'm not sure in what order I should be going. I will continue until I get it right, quitting is not a word to use in the battle of anxiety disorders.

An audio book called "Feel the Fear and do it anyway" by Susan Jeffers, PH.D. helped me get through a personal crisis. You can order it on Amazon.

Be careful with Wikipedia, for school, we are not allowed to use it as a reliable source for references, because anyone can post there. It's a good starting point though!! There are usually links at the bottom of the entry that may prove more reliable, too.

Well, I don't go to (allmentaldisorders) daily and it's not really a support site but rather an informational one.But it helped me realise a few problems with out going to a psychiatrist (My parents were convinced I was making things up until I showed this site to them, and the fact I had all the corect symptoms.)

It can be very helpful if you are not sure about some of the symptomes, but naturaly this alone does not set a diagnosis. It's always advised that you go seek profesional care or at least a proffesional opinion on wether you need councling/theraphy or not.

Hello Friends,

I have a phobia of driving with other people other than my son or my husband, I get very anxious and I feel trapped because I can't leave when I feel uncomfortable or unsafe, I'm trying to work on this phobia, but its very hard because I was an argoriphobic for 16 years, never left the house and had an enabler too. So, now after7 years of theraoy I do leave the house but mostly with Joshua nd Tony and a very close friend. As time goes by I hope too get rid of this phobia and move forward in my recovery.

Sincerely,

Roxy

Doctor John this is the first time I have searched out ADHD as maybe being the source of my problems, My local docter thinks that I just need need to tuffin up and told me that he'd had enough of me and to find someone else so I am looking for another local doctor who may be able to help,To be honest I cant play this game any more,Ive been in mental hospitals and treated with a lot of drus from Nardil etc, through 2 marriages and several relationships, I have no friends, I dont like being arround people, not even animals. I have conquired the angery side of me some years ago.I dont feel love or hate just empty doing what I think I should do for the situation.I feel anxious, frustration, aggitation, but try hard to not let it show. the only time I feel some emotion is if I have a drink and If I drink a lot I become the opposite all soft and nothing wories me to the point of becoming Manic.I genually need help, I assure you this is not a scam
Sincerely
Stephen Johnston

I have suffered from anxiety disorder ever since I can remember, I hid my inability to learn from vocal or reading by cheating or sneaking around trying to work it out myself, mainly out of pride or shame and Have lived my life this way up untill the last 5 yrs. I was kicked out of home when I was 15 and had to make my own way.I had A nervious braekdown at the age of 24 and was diagnosed as Noeuroasthanic, Nuerotic personality disorder, Borderline scytso, and bipolar, which my Father and Grandfather were also diognosed with and was place on a pension in 1985.I have an extreme anxiety disorder 24/7.I found out through memory flashbacks etc that I was malested by both male and female, age 7-10. So at the moment I have come to a conclusion that may be it is all built arround ADHD so I am searching this out.At the moment my medications are 4mlg Karma, 1800mlg Nuronton and 120mlg of cymbalta dayly, but It only stops me from shaking, my nervious system is haddit.I have seen several phychitrists and had much councelling

I just want a site where I can get answers to questions about drugs and the feelings of anxiety that I feel all the time. A friend recommended this site so I hope I can get some answers and comfort.

Thanks.

I use MedHelp, but really for their trackers. They have trackers for: Addiction Recovery, Allergy, Anxiety/Panic, Asthma, Autoimmune Disorder Tracker, Baby,
Blood Pressure, CFS/FMS Tracker Chemotherapy, Cholesterol and Mood. That's thru the C's plus an M for fun.

http://www.medhelp.org/people

I regularly use the ones for Anxiety/Panic, Autoimmune Disorder and Mood.

And Thanks DrJohn for starting this thread and making it a sticky!

The Veterans Administration Hospital doesn't know about online support sites.
