if you've read a lot of my posts, you know fireworks is a big trigger for me

well: recently I have been hearing fireworks go off at 9 or 10 A.M, when it's still light- and I know for a fact that they arn't, I mean, who's going to set off fireworks on a cold, rainy morning when it's still extremely light?

who?

I still can hear them, 1 going off after another, it's like a morning display

I don't know how to stop this

how can I stop imagineing the fireworks

Hi ss, I'm sorry you're experiencing the fireworks. It sounds horrible. Are you on any meds?

Do you see a T? I would discuss this with them. I'm no T myself, but this sounds a bit like PTSD. Maybe something in your life is triggering your mind into feeling scared and afraid and associating it with the sound of fireworks going off, resulting in you hearing them. Maybe it's the stress of the holidays?

have you tried sleeping with silicone earplugs?

I hear music (that isnt there sometimes) seems I don't hear it when I wear the earplugs.

This in fact may be in your head. I give my nod to the suggestion you talk about this with your mental healthcare providers.

There is however, the possibility that this is actually happening. Do you live near a sports field? I live near a soccer and football facility. All spring, summer, and fall I hear fireworks at all hours. It seems to be the thing to do these days to light them off each time the home team has scored.
