oh. my. god. yesterday i was swimming in the yuba river, and i was trying to slide down a part where there are some small rapids. i stood up, and my legs and stomach were COVERED in hundreds upon hundreds of little tiny leeches. there were thousands of them, all over me, squirming. i could feel them trying to attach to my skin. i got them all off, but it was absolutely horrifying. now im terrified im going to get some sort of disease or something. ughghfhlueh i still shudder thinking about it LEECHES!!! LEECHES!!! LEECHES!!!

Oh honnnnnnnnn......I know how you feel. Please don't worry about the disease part.....I'm sure that won't be an issue. I've never known anyone who has had leeches on them to get ill from them.

It is a gross thing to have to go through. I'm sorry you had to endure that. I remember a story my dad told me of when he was a kid and went swimming with a bunch of his buddies and they all had to help each other remove the leeches from each other.....he was very funny and animated about telling the story.

Hang in there sweety......

Sweetie... I don't think that you will get any illness from the leeches... they used to be a "form" of health care.

I know how you feel... I have a deep.. phobia of leeches..
One time my husband I were in a kayax in the swallows.. getting the boat out and carrying it up hill to the truck.. it was overhead.. when we set it down.. well you can imagine...

LOL.. I stripped.. and I kid you not.. right then and there.. on a public road... down to my undies... and made my husband inspect every inch.. to make sure nothing was on me..

So I know.. know.. it was a ewwwwwwwwww... experience for you.. I can laugh now... but then..Ohh... ewwwwwwwwwww... no one let me forget my "stripping" either.. was a family joke forever...
