Last night I was trying pretty hard to face my fears and not get scared, and ended up failing pretty badly. I could barely stand being in the building. I tried ignoreing the thoughts, thinking about something else, and rationalizing the situation. I still ended up jumping out of my skin at the slightest noise. Working night shift has its drawbacks sometimes, hopefully I will do better next time.

I really can understand the 'jumping out of your skin at the slightest noise' feeling. I try to have some kind of background noise on all of the time.

You didn't fail as long as you tried, right?
