Hello. I have been diagnosed with anxiety just a month ago and was prescribed with 2 weeks Psynil and Oleanz. It worked for me and I was almost completely normal but then I stopped taking them after the given 2 week thinking that I was already fine. But then 2 weeks ago, my anxiety relapsed and I had to go see another doctor. My new doctor gave me Nexito 10 antidepressant. He gave me 1 week to observe its efficacy. Well yes, the sensations in the chest given by anxiety is no longer happening(except that every morning after I wake up, I feel really nervous but then ceases after some time). The rest of the day however, I feel nothing. No experience of fun, I don't feel like loving my girlfriend, I don't miss her, I care less for her and overall, its like my emotions are dulled or numbed. Can anybody tell me what might be happening to me? Its my 1st week taking Nexito 10 now and the doctor said to wait for the therapeutic effects to kick in. Is this some sort of adjustment period or side effect in the early treatment?

A one-size-fits-all approach to mental health treatment does not exist – it never has, and it most likely never will. Humans are undeniably complex, both psychologically and physiologically, so it makes sense that we require different regimens in life – in the therapies that work, the wellness strategies we use, and certainly the medications we take to manage and treat medical conditions. https://www.forbes.com/sites/toriutl.../#373364473e1a
Welcome to the Community, janfons18. Trial and error is the usual methodology for determining the efficacy of a medication. Ask your psychiatrist about the protocol for keeping in contact to address your concerns during the trial.

I wish you well.
