Hi, is anyone taking gabapentin for anxiety. My pdoc recently changed klonopin for gabapentin. It's only been a few days and today I had anxiety to go to the gym. I took one and didn't end up going, instead I opted for a p90x (home video) workout. Which took me three hours and another gabapentin to work out. I just finished the work don't feel any anxiety for now. However I was anxious to start a home workout. I did realize I'm out of shape. I just to get a good workout and now I barley can keep up and had to take few breaks.
Anyway are you on gabapentin, what's your experience and do you think it works for anxiety?

I take 300mg four times a day and I think it helps some

I take 400mg three times a day. It helps, but lately I've been adding Vistaril for more of it.

Haven't been anxious past couple days. Then again had nothing to be anxious for. We will see.

So I'm not sure if it's working. Taking 2 pills a day.

I take 300 three times a day on top of my klonopin . I still have anxiety.

Take 1200mg of gabapentin a day and it has worked great lessening my nerves

So pdoc tweaked it but lowered dosage?!?? I take one hundred in morning and lunch then 300 in evening

I was taking 900 mg of neurontin PRN for anxiety. It's weird because the first time I took it, it worked great-helped the anxiety and made me tired so I could take a nap. The second time, it did nothing except for jacking my appetite up to the sky.

Been on it for bit now. I do notice a certain pleasantness when I take 300mg. I don't feel as irritable. Going to see if doc would up my earlier dosage.
