Anxiety attacks for no reason. Like this huge bag of fear got stuck in my throat. My heart is racing, and I'm just overflooded with fear.
But no idea why.
And nothing helps (maybe alcohol but not a long term solution obviously).

Does anyone else have these?

I am so sorry you had to go through this. I have had episodes of this in the past. I always liked the look of the Therapist when I shrugged my shoulders and said I have no idea what led to this. Sometimes it just happens so fast. So you are not alone on this.

I had that happen to me a while back. It took some time, and talking to doctors, to finally realize it was a med I was on... but not the me d itself, it was when the med left my system that I would get the anxiety. Another time, it was around an anniversary, but the dates didn't even occur to me consciously. I guess what I'm trying to say is that, for me at least, anxiety hardly even happens "for no reason" but rather I just don't know the reason at the time. I know in the midst of the attack, it's not helpful to think that there is a reason that we don't know... but I guess for figuriing it out afterwards, and fixing it was all I could do.

In the mean time, stick around here, with people who know what it's like. The main thing thatt helped me in the past, was knowing as long as I didn't feed the anxiety (go down the rabbit hole, so to speak), a panic attack will usually pass in about 10 to 15 minutes.
