Has anyone with anxiety/panic disorder/agoraphobia tried changing your diet? If so, did it make a difference with your symptoms and how?

I do not have a good relationship with food. It is not the nature of the food. It is generally healthy. It is however the amount I eat. I eat out of boredom. I also eat when I am anxious or depressed. My weight then has gone up and down; up in the winter when I do nothing and down in the summer when I am most active.

I was on Metformin to manage my weight and it seemed to be working. The fluctuation wasn't as extreme. However! My pharmacist recently told me it is a medication also used for increasing fertility!!!!! I am 50. I think I can live with a bit of extra weight more than I can live with the alternative.

I'm not referring to aesthetics based on weight. I am referring to diet helping with or eliminating anxiety/panic.
