If anyone takes/have taken this for anxiety, what has been your experience?

Well I take it as a side effect medication for my Haldol. I am bipolar, but I haven't had much experience with it for anxiety. I take Klonopin too which is another medicine for anxiety. I don't get anxious so maybe it's working? Hard to say.

My pdoc only prescribed it for me because I was having restless legs syndrome and tremors when I was on a new AD. Quit taking both a short while later.

I have taken 20 mg 4x/day for 6 weeks or so. It has helped with the trembling and the heart palpitations but hasn't helped that knot in my stomach. I decided it was worth sticking with just for taking away the trembling, as this was interfering with my work.

I've been on it or awhile. I take 60mg a day. My experience has been positive. When I'm freaking out from a panic attack it helps slow my heart beat down. I like it too because it's not addicting.

I took Propanolol for anxiety for over a year. It seemed a little bit helpful for the first month or so, then it didn't seem to do much.

I don't think I like it. Makes me feel weird. Makes me super cold all over. Even my eyes feel cold. And my tongue goes numb.

I take it to stop my hands shaking. But I don't know if it's helping with anxiety. I had a really bad anxiety attacks in the spring and I got nothing. Zero. Zilch.

Propranalol is good for the physical symptoms of anxiety, i'm not sure how anxiety affects you, but I take propranalol when I am feeling shaky inside and in a state of panic, (as in feeling like Im losing my mind, It defiantly stops my shakiness and it calms my thinking down a bit, but not as much as I would like it to. It is def good for anxiety though.
