I have bipolar 2, but I swear anxiety has taken over my life.

I rode in a car about 200 miles on the freeway yesterday. I had to load up on the Klonopin and was still terrified.

I can barely drive around the neighborhood.

I am constantly living in fear someone in my family will get sick.

I am overwhelmed and go right to the negative regarding my son who is dealing with a DUI (pot) right now.

I worry about my own health as I am overweight and do not exercise.

This just seems never ending. I want to get off the world so bad. I am not sui at all but I feel desperate. I have two therapists and a pdoc working with me. Nothing seems to get better.

Can anyone say anything reassuring?

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time right now. Has your doctor prescribed anything for your anxiety? It will get better. I've gone through periods of intense anxiety and come out the other side. I despise anxiety. I'd rather have depression. Hang in there and keep posting to let us know how you are. Sending big hugs.

This too shall pass. Xanax tends to work better for what you are going through than the klonopin

I'd prefer Xanax also, but am afraid to ask for it. My doc is nervous about benzos. But you know I think I will get up the courage and try.

*hugs* I understand too. I also have incredible anxiety. Went through a bad patch yesterday regarding health and getting ill. Makes me avoid situations where I feel unsafe, but I'm also not living the life I want to!

Look after yourself in times like this! Try not to beat yourself up as that doesn't help anyone! Lots of love xxxx

I'm sorry to hear you're having a tough time. I definitely know the feeling. It would be nice if we could know all the answers and just be able to force all of these things out of our body and mind. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing you're not alone.

I know sometimes we feel hopeless and helpless, but we have to somehow fight, stay strong, and know that we're not alone. I don't know your values and beliefs, and I'm not trying to be preachy at all here, but God is always on your side. The ways of the world are so hard and confusing, but God will always be there for you. He doesn't want to see any of us struggle, but that's just life. The anxieties and stresses of this world try to bring us down, and sometimes they win. We have to stay strong. You are not alone!

Anxiety is wicked. I struggle with it every day. Hopefully your pdoc can give you something to help. Like Guiness said, "This, too, shall pass" When my anxiety is really bad I repeat over and over...."All is well, all is well, all is well." Chanting this helps to ground me. Hope you feel better real soon Lily.
