I am having issues in certain socal situations that i feel is my own doing. I had male breast augmentation done. I was fine afterwards until I had a panic attack at my sister's pool party. Since then I haven't been able to go to a pool, shore or any situation like that.

Lately larger crowds I try to avoid as I feel I might get an attack. At work I'm fine or around the house no issues. Around women perfectly fine, men if I know them I'm fine if not I feel withdrawn.

This was not the case for the first few months after my surgery which at that time I was fine no issues in public actually was very happy with the results and felt fine up till I had the attack. I'm sure what changed, as up to that point I was looking forward to the pool party

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time. Do you have a therapist who can help you process this? You could always try exposure therapy. Have hope. I had agoraphobia for many years and would not leave the house but it resolved itself. Sending big hugs.
Thanks for this!

I haven't gone to a therapist about this, thought I could shake this myself. I am finding I can't. Very frustrating and feel somewhat embarrassed. Can you explain exposure therapy?
