So last night (after taking 400 mg of clozapine, which should end all conscious thought in a half hour), I was wired for 3 hours because I had to keep my heart beating. If I stopped concentrating, it would stop, because I couldn't feel it.

I was feeling pretty manic all evening. But the heart thing... it has happened before. I have a hard time going to sleep, anyway, without the meds. I'd sit there for hours with rushing thoughts, usualyl mistakes I've made... regrets...

Does anyone have ideas on how to sleep? I stay on the meds, I keep soothing music playing... brain just rushes...

I am pretty obsessed with my heartbeat too. If it’s beating too fast, too slow, I hate the way it makes me feel. My cardiologist recommended I buy this gadget from Alivecor. It works with an app called Kardia & gives you an instant EKG reading. It’s amazing. He told me it’s good for people like myself (anxious). Anyways, I do an EKG & if it’s normal I know there’s nothing to worry about & that helps me relax & sleep.
