When I was a teenager, I would always have an attitude with my grandparents. I was very rude to them and I really don't know why. Now, I have a good relationship with my grandparents. But, I still feel extremely guilty for how I acted. It's been noted that I've matured and grown up a lot, and I'm definitely not the person I used to be. How do I get rid of this crippling guilt and allow myself to forgive? I'm also concerned that my old friends who knew me during that time will think I'm a terrible person for how I used to act, since they don't know who I am today.

If your grandparents forgive you for how you acted, is that enough for you to put it past you? If you've grown as a person, I doubt they would have any harsh feelings towards you. Best of luck!

I agree with Dowdy. You could also apologize to your grandparents to get closure and then put it behind you. Best wishes.
