Whenever it snow I get physically sick when I smell snow in the air. I didn't really care for snow when I was a toddler and by the time I was six year old I didn't really like the smell it had made sick to smell it and within a year I became absolutely terrified of snow because I moved into another city. I live there before but I didn't know why I had gotten sick before but it was never as bad as it was when I was seven years old. I live in a city that had containment water due to a chemical spill that had happen before I moved to a city. A chemical plant had invent a bug repellent in a form of a spray that was supposed to kill bugs when sprayed on. But it didn't work so a number of people had call in to complained and they did a callback on the bug spray refunding the money to all those who had bought the bug spray. The chemical was transport in a truck that had some kind of accident on a road and the chemical spill out on the road and had gotten into the water. The resident woke up the next morning and found ants and other insect dead and it was found later on when people started complaining that they were getting very sick. So those who had become very sick all complained that had drinking water or had touch the water in someway. But no one who had become sick had become suspicious of the water because it look clean and tasted normal. It had never occurred to anyone that it may have been the water that had made them sick.

It wasn't until someone had taken a sample and found out that there was bug repellent in the water and they trace the chemical to a company who had a truck transporting the chemical somewhere else and the driver apparently wasn't aware that chemical had end in the water. The company was shut down but the water is still really bad. I had drink water without being informed that there had been a chemical spill. I lost two years of my life being sicked I missed half the school year and I couldn't play with my friends because of how gravel ill I had become and no doctor know what was wrong with me. I could still develop cancer or eventually have amnesia because I had drink contaminated water. I got trapped in snow and couldn't get out of the driveway. My fear of snow had intensified and now I feel claustrophobia and get physically sick. I feel like I am dying and I feel trapped like I can't get out. I don't want be a home but I don't want to leave my house I just want to go somewhere during the winter where it is warm all year around.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I don't really know how to help you but it may help to talk to some friends in so you can distract yourself from your feelings. The best thing to do is to contact the help of a counselor. I'm sorry if I couldn't help.

If I could find someone who specialized in this or if I could find someone who took my health insurance. Thanks for your advice. I will try to keep myself distracted.

If you perhaps could find a way to try some winter activities? Might this then change your mind.? It may alleviate the sense of being trapped. For me it is the cold which makes me feel claustrophobic.

You know that is a good idea! I never thought about. Thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind.

Are there any places suitable to go for a walk? I was once quite active outdoors including even camping in winter. Those days are now behind me but I still try to get out even if it is only for 5-10min. There is a park nearby with a lot of snow over it. I have a pair of snowshoes which allow me to tromp around a bit. It gets my blood pumping and cheeks rosy. I usually reward myself with something to warm me up when I return. An evening walk beneath the streetlights in softly falling snow I find to be quite beautiful.

Not really! There a park but just for kids and too far to walk to. But I try to go out in it exposed myself to the fear. I try to make sure that I ask myself how I am feeling and why I feel that way. Thanks for the advice.
