I went to a mix n match party which is a party that all singles go to in hopes of meeting someone. I thought that going here would be a great idea because I have done all of the Tinder, hot or not, bumble and okcupid applications but I get nowhere with them. I was there for two hours and faced my fears of social anxiety head on. I have had several short conversation with numerous people, and got my drank on. We played Jenga and sat around drinking. Most of the people here were much older than me. Everyone here was in their 30's so I did feel like I stood out from the rest of us. There was one person younger than me and I made sure that I introduced myself to him so that he didnt feel left out. Im glad that I went here and let myself be vulnerable, once I got there everything was pretty easy. I had so much anxiety built up on the way there in my uber ride. On my ride back I had my driver stop at Wendys I thought that was very nice. That Wendys hit the spot after a night out drinking. I will probably be back at another one of these events even though my night was soso.

Thanks for sharing your experience... & congratulations on facing your fears of social anxiety! As it says in my Signature statement (below)... "go to places that scare you." And you did! Best wishes for success with future events!
