Any suggestions for how to deal with nausea related to anxiety? Sometimes it's even to the point of vomiting. It's hard to go about your day feeling sick, and I hate vomiting and nausea.

Try eating some plain bread, or digestive biscuits - these can sometimes soak up some of extra acidity that anxiety can cause.

I suffered from anxiety nausea and vomitting for years (from the ages 13 to 38) and the only thing that helped (apart from laying on the cool bathroom floor for hours, hugging the toilet) was Gravol - an anti-nausea medication. It's a dirt cheap over the counter medication, I was able to inject it as well (by prescription) if necessary, because sometimes I would vomit up the tablet before it could take effect.

I'm sorry, I don't remember the name of a similar OTC med in the US, but I know there is one.

Peppermint hard candies, peppermint tea, mint gum, and pretty much anything minty always helps me! Ginger ale and Sprite also seem to work well. I hope you get to feeling better!

For me most effective is domperidone, but it's not for sale in the United States and recently put on prescription in most countries because it appearantly can cause your hearth to stop beating. But it works very well!

Alternatives for me are a glass of milk. Or ginger extract.

Speaking from experience, especially after ICU I swear by this. Ask your GP if there's no adverse effects with another medication you could be on.
Although I do recommend peppermint tea.

I don't abuse it. It can make you feel a tiny bit sedative, but nothing like an addictive drug. Believe me, I would know..

My mother uses it for migraines. I found it in her medicine cabinet when...well that's just me sometimes.

Take care of yourself
