Years ago I developed a very bad itch now my doctor told me it was from anxieties. He gave me some meds but they had very bad size effects. I became extremely shaky and started sweating .However now I can feel the itch really bad .I put some coconut cream on it, it works for dry skin. It is so annoying because it makes me feel dirty ,just like I need a bath or something. Sometimes it goes away other times it is a awful feeling. I never knew that anxieties could cause one to itch. As of right now I have this feeling. I dont dare scratch. I had it the other day to but it went away after a couple of hours. Anyone have these feelings too??

Perhaps ask your doctor for a change of meds?

Hi, I found out I experience this too. Sometimes I scratch involuntarily, it doesn't leave any scar, but I just can't stop scratching until that particular part of my body starts to hurt. Most of the times this scratching is accompanied by heavy breathing and shaking too. I only went to a therapist once a few years ago so I can't really confirm if this has anything to do with anxiety. Do you actually need meds for this?
