47yo male 6'1 220lbs. History of panic and anxiety disorder. History of blood clots DVT and PE, and AFIB and Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia. Recent EKG and Echocardiogram both Normal.

I was at work today. During my much I went to the grocery store. I was sort of walking briskly to grab items. While walking around I started having this "sense of impending doom" come on several times. I stopped in my tracks to wait a bit and it sort of went away the first time. But when walking around the store I felt it again and again, and each time I thought I was going to die right there and collapse. It was very debilitating trying to get through the store and home because I always felt this doom sensation like I was going to be hit with another attack.

I have AFIB but take medicine to control it. I haven't had afib in a long time but have had other weird heart racing issues and "inappropriate sinus tachycardia". I'm also on Xarelto for past DVT and PE blood clots.

While in the store I took out my Kardia ECG I use with my phone. It recorded some inverted waves which look like PAC's.

I just barely made it out of the store when I had another attack and almost fell over. Then when I got home to unload my groceries, I had another. My heart rate increased 100bpm+ each time.

I called my cardiologist office and they said if it happens again to get checked out. Otherwise wait until Monday when they open to get a Holter Monitor again. I just had an EKG and Echocardiogram and both showed normal heart.

So my doctor is claiming this is all anxiety and panic disorder. But in the past, the panic attacks would come on suddenly and feel completely different. These are more in a row, but a little subdued and not what I call full blown.

But at this point I'm thinking it's a combination of my heart issue and panic disorder. But I Never had issues in the past walking into stores before and feeling nervous. But now when I go somewhere I get these feelings.

I can't be on any SSRI due to interactions with Multaq. I've tried Lamictal, and that gave me high anxiety but did stabilize mood.

My doctor wants me to try Trileptal, but it also is black box for anxoety/panic.

Do any of you get these strange feelings when going out in public or when rushing around too fast?

Had very bad "panic" attacks, feeling of doom, heart rhythm issue when rushing to sto

Yep. Sometimes they are happening so often that it's hard to tell where one ends & another begins.
