Trigger warning (I don't know how to make an actual TW.)
I have emetophobia, although it is much better, through many years of psychotherapy. The thing is, my wife just got sick to her stomach, out in the living room, while I am hiding in the bedroom. My Ativan is in another room. I'm sort of paralyzed on the bed. I can't talk to my therapist, because she is on medical leave (since mid-November). I can't call my psychiatrist because I've never discussed this fear with him, and the thought of talking about it on the phone is only heightening my anxiety. I would appreciate some support in whatever form you can share. Thanks, Cool |

Maybe your wife can get your Ativan for you. I hope it gets better for you soon.

Here's hoping you've been able to recover since you posted this earlier today.

I did get over my earlier anxiety. Unfortunately, it's happened again. :-(

Omg! Tell her to stop puking!!
![]() Do you guys have kids or other friends or family who can help? I try to always be prepared with an extra waste paper basket lined with multiple multiple plastic throwaway shopping bags. I can "emete" into those, tie them up and get them out of my sight, and theres another one ready for me. Im so sorry! Im like Seinfeld, i remember the date of my last occurrence! ![]() |
