I am just wondering if any of you have turned to the use of Apps or devices such as the Muse to aid in meditation and help for mood problems?

My anxiety is causing turmoil in my life. Things are a real struggle right now and I feel at a loss. I have thought that maybe there is something like an App or device proven to be helpful out there.

Thoughts? Have you personally tried any? Do you know someone who has? Have the results been helpful? Recommendations?

I have gone ahead and ordered a "Muse". It is an EEG which reads and measures certain brain activity that pertains to stress and anxiety levels. It then generates a soothing sound in response directly to the state of your mood. At $199 (cdn) for the entry level device it is pretty steep but I am really grasping at straws (yes, I have tried therapy and take medication but the help has been limited).
