Just asking does anyone have this many mental illness? I have them all.Good thing I dont have a split personality.Goodness sakes having a mood disorder is bad enough. When it gets to be really bad I get awful panic attacks I start to shake sometimes I get very confused and cry.I feel like this mental illness is all my fault People tell me it isnt.I know but deep down inside I often wonder at times.I just wish I could be normal however I do know that will never happen.I do my best.Love to you all.

Is split personality a medical diagnosis? What I mean is, is it slang for something or actually the name of a disorder?

Since that time, as things have been discussed and uncovered with my T, I do have characteristics of Dissociative Amnesia, and experience Depersonalization/Derealization. I will tell you that I never expected all this. I just thought I needed some advice and possibly had some physical problems due to the physical symptoms I was having. I was pretty terrified. I went in and out of denial. Just lots of discontent. My T was like "ok. You have the info, now use it as a guide to gain knowledge of yourself. Don't live in the diagnosis. Use it to your advantage." I adopted this attitude and although things are unbearable sometimes, I just keep that perception in the front of my mind. It is helping. Hug. Hug. What are you good at? Really, I want to know. |

That is such an amazing thing to do! I bet the people who receive those gifts are grateful. The small amount of things I've learned about you since being on this site let me know you have a kind heart.

I'm so sorry you're hurting so much, xmascarol I'm suremany can relate to what you wrote here. You're definitely not alone in this. Many people often have multiple diagnosis! It's not your fault! Things like this can just happen! Please don't blame yourself! Please don't be so hard on yourself! You didn't choose to have MI after all! I completely agree with what Nemo1934 and sarahsweets have already wisely said better than I ever could! I'd suggest to listen to them if you can and want! They always have such great advice! All of those things you've mentioned are just wonderful! Be proud of yourself for that! I completely agree with Nemo1934! Whenever you feel down, try to do one of those things that you like doing! They're all wonderful things! You're a strong, wonderful person! Please remember that! Believe in yourself just as much as we all believe in you! Most importantly, always be kind to yourself and take good care of yourself, especially when you're feeling down! Sending many hugs to you, xmascarol! You're a strong, wonderful person! Please remember that!

Just like me .It can be so depressing feeling this way.I often wonder what life would be like without these mental illness's.My best friend has nothing not that I want her to but she can go out when and wherever she wants to go,Doesnt even get nervous when she has to go out especially to the doctors.I think to myself why can't I be like that?

I am glad to be here reading your post xmascarol. I have the same, all this illness. I am in a very bad place right now because of severe anxiety that developed in Agoraphobia. I am not leaving my house alone for the last five months. I am going back to therapy in a month. I am so afraid to go outside, drive, even getting the mail become so difficult. I am very aware of my situation, in treatment for years with very good Psychiatrist and Therapist. I just stuck myself this last winter, unable to move forward. My Psychiatrist changes my medications dose, but still, I am not getting any better. It is complicated because I need to come back to therapy but I am not because of the fears of driving and being outside. The best for all of you. Hugs
