So, after seeing a Psychiatrist, he told me to find some relaxation technique that works for me. He suggested some, but I'm not sure I can do them right now. Breathing exercises is out, because that just makes it harder to breath. Yoga is with people. With meditation, I'd be in my own head too much.

What do you do to relax? (besides taking the obvious bath )

I use white noise . . . actually deep brown noise . . . as a way of relaxing. The low sound seems to slow down my thinking and calms me. I imagine it has good effects of my breathing and heartbeat too, but not sure about that.

Kinda odd, but when my anxiety gets super high I find that eating a pouch of tuna brings it way down. Especially if I have not eaten in awhile. Tuna is a super food so its actually proven to boost your moods.

Interesting. I'll try that, too. I don't like tuna, but I actually randomly got a can for christmas, so I happen to have some here. Thanks!

Yoga - there are videos on Youtube that are free to follow along, so you don't necessarily do it with people...

For some reason splashing super cold water on my face helps.

Is Yoga really that good? I also heard that you can do a lot incorrectly if you just use Youtube to guide you.
