I did some research and I found out that anxieties can make you have muscle spasms. It started in my lower right side of my back and believe me it hurt. Also chocolate can cause muscle spams.I am a bit better now but it felt like someone was pulling at me,it hurt.

Xmascarol, hi. I am new here. I read your post and what you said makes sense. Someone in the nutrition field once told me that magnesium helps with foot spasms and cramping, so maybe that might help with general muscle spasms. I would ask around or research first tho.
I hope you feel better. I get eye spasms and other spasms all the time. Not fun. |

There's also this thing called dystonia, or neurovegetative dystonia. It's commonly misdiagnosed for spasmophilia, or mentioned along with the former, but they are very different.
I suggest reading about it or mentioning it to your doctor, there are some interesting things to keep in mind. Best of luck and health! |

I know people do not like running to benzos and I am not saying they are the only way but one benzo is prescribed for back spasms and issue and helps with anxiety and that is Valium. Its an old school med and I do not know why it is used for back spasms over other benzos but it does work. And it doesnt have to be a high dose. I recently started valium for emergencies and I am only allowed to take 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet.

I use to take valium but thye took me off of it because it wasnt helping me anymore.I think I may know some of the problem dont mean to sound gross but sometimes when I have to go no 2 I have to really push to get it out and I can feel the muscles start to hurt from pushing so much.I did that today to .MY left shoulder hurts but I think that is from knitting and crocheting so much.how have you been doing?
