Hi,
so I don't think this is the right place so hesitant to post here... but I just needed a place to vent about my situation. I have one friend irl left and I just spent another day counselling her through her problems. My own life is a mess, with my mental health/neuro disorders and I just can't help but feel the stress from going at it alone. I quit my psychologist last month because frankly I don't think she had a clue how to help me. I sometimes just wish I had family around me and even just one friend who cared about me. I'm worried about my future and I just wish that I had more support. |

You are not alone, so many people, including myself, feel isolated and alone. Sounds like you are making changes to make your life better. You know what you want, know that nothing stays the same. I just wanted to stay hang in there. I identify with your post, as I once moved to another state for a job and had no family close and no true friends for about 7 years. It was rough, and lonely, especially around the holidays.

I'm sorry you are feeling so alone.
 I know there are others, here on PC, who are in similar situations. It has occurred to me that perhaps we should have a loneliness forum... (perhaps a sub-forum of depression?)  Loneliness is a big problem for many PC members. Hopefully being here on PC can be of at least some help.  Best wishes...

I'm sorry you are feeling so alone. I struggle with loneliness too. It is a difficult feeling to have. I hope you feel a little bit better soon. HUGS Kit

I too have feelings of being alone and it seems to make my depression worse. I know exactly how you feel. Take comfort in knowing that there are so many people out there that feel the same way and that you are not alone. Being here on PC has kept me busy and moves the day forward a lot faster. Hopefully it will work for you. God speed!

I now have almost no friends and virtually no family anymore. I, quite honestly, get the vast majority of my meaningful support from PC. There are lots of people here in the same boat as you, basically.
