Does anyone else deal with health anxiety? Sometime I feel alone in all of this.

I do. It doesn't help that when search the internet for info on topics like sore throat and the first page of google will say it could be cancer. And worrying about health can stress you out enough to actually make you sick.

Read articles about wellness, practices that can keep you healthy. Diet, exercise, friends can make a big difference in your resistance to disease.

Yeah I have health anxiety. And then it usually turns out there’s something legit medical going on and then the cycle starts over again. It’s a bad habit I’ve gotten myself into along with the fact I’ve just had a crappy immune system lately.

I have it too... I once had an episode of it that was borderline for psychosis. I've got it again recently with starting a new med, and obsessing about the side effects. The med itself is working fine!

I too find eventually that there is a real health problem. When the cause is hard to find, people make me feel that I'm a hypochondriac or something. I finally found the thing that was causing me symptoms for a long time and I'm hoping to turn my life around now I know what it is.

I was duped into believing I needed an SSRI and later a BENZO to relieve my anxiety. I weaned myself off of both after I did a lot of research to learn that the root cause of anxiety is mostly nutritional. 8 Nutrient Deficiencies That Cause Depression and Anxiety - Victoria Albina

For me personally, I was low in B, D, Iron, and Magnesium. My anxiety spikes when one or multiple of these gets low. Also, thyroid disease (which I have) causes anxiety and depression as a side effect (both hyper and hypo).

I will never take an antidepressant or Benzo again for my anxiety. I notice that I have less panic attacks when I also avoid eating processed food and processed sugar. This is just my experience. But I hate doctors who think prescribing a pill with serious side effects is the answer. They'd rather do that then test for vitamin and mineral deficiency or thyroid disorders.
Thanks for this!
