Diagnosed with GAD. When I sleep well my anxiety the next day is very high. When I don’t sleep well my anxiety is quite low the next day. Seems like this is the opposite of what it should be. Anyone else experiencing this?

I have never heard of sleep causing anxiety, but it is very plausible. At night you are alone and you might think about stressful things or have anxiety dreams that you don't remember. Do you think it's possible that you might have sleep apnea or some other sleep issue that is causing this?

Yes. When I was younger and raising children I never slept more than 8 hours. My level of anxiety was much lower. I tried to never oversleep because I knew I've pay the price of elevated anxiety.
Now I'm really tired most of the time and tend to sleep a lot. In part, I do so because my sleep is segmented...3 hours, awake for an hour...3 more hours, awake, and so on. So I end up sleeping for around 11 hours. Now my anxiety is out of control. __________________ |
