Here, in Spain, apart from the lockdown from 10 pm to 6 am, it’s been putting the emphasise on hotel industry and restaurants business. In many communities bars, restaurants, hotels are going to suffer a total lockdown for at least 15 days. Considering that it’s the most important sector for Economy here, it’s being a big tragedy.

How is everyone feeling after the news of an apparently 90% effective vaccine on course?
Even flu vaccine is only 40-60% effective so this sounds extremely promising. Personally I feel cautiously optimistic, cautious because it's not with us yet, but very very optimistic. Hope everyone else is doing okay and feeling a little better because of it. Lockdown 2 going much better than the first one here too- no panic buying in the store where I work and people seem calmer. Maybe it's experience- the lady I buy takeout coffee from jokes if there's lockdown 3 we will be professional at it by then! |

I'm glad this lockdown seems to be going better for you. My municipality is still holding steady in phase 3. Fingers crossed!

Lol! Good joke! Sure, we will end up being experts in immune system, deseases and mass destruction weapons. lol! I’m hopeful for the vaccine. Thus it’s one of these ones that consists on giving the instruction to the immune system so it can fight better against the virus in case you get infested. Isn’t it amazing? How scientists can make these kinds of things. __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. Trying to improve my English. My apologies for errors and mistakes in advance. I’m worried because now there’s this about conspiracy thing as to what the vaccine concerns. I have talked to some people and none of them want to be the first in getting the vaccine.
I can’t avoid wondering what kind of world we are living in that we find so hard to trust anything or anyone. Such a hostile world. Where all that fears come from? I wonder. __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. Trying to improve my English. My apologies for errors and mistakes in advance. I need some medical appointments. But I won't make them right now. Our officials are saying that these are 'dark days'. I have one next week that I may reschedule. Or maybe I should go now before things get worse.

But since I'm neither high risk nor in a vital profession, I'm not in the first group to be offered the vaccine anyway |

Well, so let’s leave others take the risk. It’s always the same story.

I am more than happy to take a vaccine - I am signed up for the trial as a volunteer but unlikely to be called at this point, I will if they call me.
I have done a medical trial before for a med, it really was no bother and the medical checks they put me through were very thorough. I am married to a clinically vulnerable person and volunteer with many others so for me as a youngish fit healthy person I feel the vaccine is very low risk/high gain. |

Here, the same if I have to put the vaccine to avoid higher risks for the population, I put it.

Today someone told me that it often takes 5 years to test a vaccine and see if there’s a risk in its usage.
I had a different information. And I was shocked. I heard that it was often needed a year, working on it straight away. I understand know the reticence of some people. Which information you have about it, guys? __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. Trying to improve my English. My apologies for errors and mistakes in advance. Even if it had been a year - it has been less than that by the time they are planning on starting vaccination. Germany is already setting up a strategy to start.
I've just seen the H1N1 vaccine been brought up several times that was linked to a rise in narcolepsy cases.... even if it's rare, it makes me a little nervous. |

I can understand reticence, and I don't have any specific knowledge about these vaccines other than what I read in the press. They will have to apply to the fda for permission to fast track as an emergency.
We all have to read up and make our decision based on the facts we have. This reminds me of the dilemma we had over 20 years ago with MMR vaccine and an alleged link to autism (subsequently disproven) at the time many parents were uncertain. In the end we did vaccinate our baby but it was a big dilemma. |

I just had groceries delivered for the first time out of more fear about corona now. I haven’t been wiping down the groceries. Do I really need to start doing that? We’ve just been washing out hands with soap. Ugh!

This weekend I am struggling again I'm sure part of it is PMS hormones affecting my mood. Everything just seems bleak There's now talk that the lockdown will last into december and we shouldn't count on large holiday gatherings. Which of course I already wasn't counting on, but I fear it's making the covidiots come out even more :/
I got very pissed off with 2 teenagers behind me in line keeping no distance at all, but I was not brave enough to say anything. I don't understand why it is so difficult for some people to not breathe down someone's neck in a queue? |
