I think I posted a thread about this a while back (but I don't remember this forum), but gloves absolutely terrify me (previous abuse)
every day, for the past week/ 2 weeks, I have had some trigger involving gloves (even if I am not around them at the time, I still get triggered and I still feel anxious) the way I see people with gloves are like killer clowns. moving around the circus terrifying people- and it's very scary sat their in an evening (completely on myh own), having those images of people I like looking like that. I have even had flashbacks to other times gloves have caused me issues, panic attacks over them, I don't really know what to do about it anymore. hopefully the restrictions will be lifted in a few weeks and this will be over, but for now (at least as far as this issue is concerned), I'm done and I'm not coping with it |

Dear raging vortex,
I am so sorry that you are afflicted with a fear of gloves. I think your fear is totally understandable given things that have happened in your past. Since so many people are wearing gloves these days because of the SARS-COVID-19 pandemic, it must be really stressful for you. It is really heartbreaking that all of this is causing you such distress and panic attacks. Don't know why, but I have a terrible fear of big cockroaches. I love all animals and am fond of insects. I even have a small pet cockroach that came into my home to escape the cold weather. It doesn't scare me because it is in an enclosure with food and water. When the weather warms up I will let it go free. But the really big cockroaches really terrify me although I know they have as much right to exist as I do and serve such a useful function in the ecology of the world. I am so sorry that you are having to endure a fear or gloves. I hope you will be okay. Sincerely yours, -- Yao Wen |

As if you hadn’t have enough with the anxiety because of the situation itself, you have to deal also with this panic and bad experiences gloves awake in you.
I feel for you. Hope you can take it the best possible. Did you ever think about working on this phobia with a therapist? __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. I apreciate your post. thanks. I am also sorry about your fear if cockroaches. I can see how they can be scary though. I don't like many insects myself, plus I am alergic to the stinging ones I can handle spiders though. I think they are okay |
