So normally, my panic attacks have some type of trigger.
Yesterday I was dealing with a little more anxiety then usual, but nothing that I haven't dealt with before. I've had a couple things I've been dealing with (financial troubles, moving to another job) but this has been going on for a couple months so nothing new. But yesterday I was having a lot of trouble focusing and my anxiety was increasing the closer it got to my appointment with my T. By the time we got on the phone, (like within the first 2 minutes) he had to talk me down from a panic attack. I just couldn't talk about or even think about the responsibilities I have right now or the things that I really need to take care of (like paying bills). And its the same way today. I've just been trying to stave off another panic attack all day.
There's nothing I can point to that would be causing my increase in anxiety, so I feel like there's nothing I can do to get rid of it because I don't know the cause. And the first question I get from the couple people I've told has been "what happened?"
I don't think panic attacks without a trigger are abnormal, so how do you take care of anxiety or panic without a trigger?

Dear shamon86,

I am sorry this happened to you. This kind of thing used to happen to me a lot. Cognitive Behavior Therapy helped me a lot, although I was aided more by reading books by famous cognitive therapists than by face to face therapy. Medication also helped enormously.

Since I am not a physician or medical professional, I cannot really offer any advice that you or anyone could or should rely upon but I do hope you find something that helps you. Panic attacks can be so brutal with or without a trigger. So my heart goes out to you!

So sorry I could not be helpful to you in this. Hopefully others here will have better words than mine . . . more helpful words!
