So, my doctor sent me to the hospital this week. After listening to my symptoms he thought as I had hoped that it was hyperthroidism. He thought it might well be a thyrotoxic crisis, which can actually be life-threatening. It wasn't. The hospital sent me home after a few hours saying it was psychological in nature.

I know I have been ignoring the signs for a while, but I didn't think it would be bad enough to be wrongly diagnosed with a life-threatening desease. I don't think this is on my doctor, the hospital readily accepted his diagnosis after hearing the symptoms, too.

Has anyone here experienced anything similar? Should I tell my boss? Can I even work?

Dear AliceKate,

I am so sorry that happened to you. Wish I knew what to say that would be helpful but my English is not very good. I hope everything works out for the best for you!

Sincerely yours, Yao Wen
