I really feel you’ve misunderstood my post - this was what I wrote:
Quote:
The NHS would not offer free tests to anyone because they are a public funded healthcare system - the link states they are offered to anyone who tests positive on PCR however and that is why I am doing them, it’s to contribute to knowledge. I didn’t advocate anyone join the study, I simply stated I was doing a study. Break is in Germany she couldn’t be in a UK study anyhow. Please do not accuse me of spreading misinformation because I can assure you I am the last person to do so. However we are all adults here and can I hope discuss amongst ourselves. I am sorry if I accused you of misinformation when you were telling your truth about your experiences. I just kind of "lost it" (call it "pangry") when I saw your suggestion to buy antibody kits or something. I didn't know what you meant, and i should have asked instead of assumed. But I also didn't want it to go in the direction of people starting to suggest that and share that or something. I get worried about the safety of others when it comes to stuff like that. Please feel free to post. |

Here are a few links that discuss antibody tests, and why they shouldn't be used to see if you need a booster, or to see if your last vaccine shot is still viable, or to see if your last Covid infection is protective, etc. They don't work. There's research being done on these things, but there's nothing definitive right now.

I inherently stand by #6, especially when engaging online. If I see something, I will say something. I do this as a form of protection to both the public and the publisher of information. It's not meant as an attack, but rather as a guidance to alert us to how vulnerable we all are - myself included - which can stem from not being used to this time and era when even the slightest flaw in communication could be harmful when others misunderstand that information. Being more clear about what is being said will help dispel any intentions of spreading accidental harm. |

I LITERALLY JUST MADE THIS POST AND POSTED THIS IN ALL FOUR OF MY FACEBOOK COMMUNITY GROUPS!!
The other day in all three community groups I belong to someone posted this picture as a test site option. I immediately knew something was off. I apologize for not sleuthing it out quicker but it took me a minute. THIS IS NOT A LEGITIMATE TEST SITE!! “Infinity medical services “ is not affiliated with any approved state or federal agency, no legitimate labs and “hardcodes” information via webcoding to basically churn out generic information about test results to scores of different people. So many people have been given incorrect results- false positives or negatives- then been sick enough to need the hospital. Or spread covid around. In some cases a person tested at various scam sites like this one, gotten suspicious and gone somewhere else. Only to get two different results! There are also cases of personal information being stolen. Some didn’t even get results at all! Oh and many got back door insurance bills for tests that are free. It’s important to note that many of these places will hijack part of or all of another business’s name or a similar business. There are probably loads of “infinity medical…” businesses and many could be labs or medical in nature but they are not real. It pisses me off to no end that this is happening!! It’s so hard to get a test, rapid tests are sold out and so many employers want a negative test to return to work what the hell is an employee supposed to do? Or parent? And you know how I feel about real scientific legitimate information! (No one roll their eyes to hard please)! *First I saved the photo. I recorded where I’d seen it. Before I started checking New Jersey I first did some research about this phenomenon nationwide. Center for COVID Control testing? Americans describe long waits Then I started googling and checking NJ: Fake COVID Tests in NJ and How to Spot the Scams | Morristown, NJ Patch Alleged Fake NJ COVID Testing Facility May Have to Pay Those Claiming to Be Duped – NBC New York In Philly: Philadelphia'''s unauthorized COVID sites, and the opportunity to scam people during the omicron wave. We are all trying our best. We are all in the same boat. It’s disgusting. Please do not post obscure, obtuse or sketchy pictures or information from covid sites you either : Haven’t googled Haven’t been to yourself Haven’t found online information about Haven’t read reviews about Haven’t checked the social media pages of. I fault no one if they’ve fallen for this. I mean, sure assholes exist but I thought assholishness had its limits. It seems legit for someone desperate for their kid to go back to school and parents or anyone who just wants to do their jobs and earn a living. I wish I remembered Who shared this. If they are local or part of the community and you know them please encourage them to message me so I can share information with them to share with others. If this person is in our community their intentions were good. If this is new member with like 4 posts who joined two weeks ago that no one knows please either check them out on your own and share that they are “safe “ or report the post to the admin’s for investigation or removal. I will be making this post public in all of my groups so feel free to share. We just need to be good humans and help each other out. {ALSO: I’m in a frenzy typing but have arthritis. If you see a typo, grammatical error or something totally stupid please tell me and I’ll edit. @downandlonely I hope you test negative soon! It is too bad this omicron went wild just in time for your long awaited trip.
@Discombobulated I really enjoy your posts about what is going on Covidwise where you live and hope you stay in the thread. Shot #2 was worse for me than shot #3, fwiw, but it seems to have no rhyme or reason and I was getting Moderna. @sarahsweets Your grandson is adorable. I hope he feels better soon. This omicron is wild. One of my friends posted 'if you don't have Covid right now, raise your hand.' It amazes me that one person in a house can have it and not give it to everyone else. |

I just read a news article that stated:
"Store owners point out that the number of infections are still going up, despite stores being closed. This leads them to conclude that stores and restaurants do not pose a risk." Now I agree with them that maybe closing all non essential stores is not really the best way to fight a pandemic. But their logic makes absolutely NO SENSE at all. How does infections going up prove that stores don't pose a risk of infection?? You could also draw the conclusion that this new strain is so infectious, we need more restrictions. |

I found this link through an article talking about the bad Things ivermectin can do to your body etc. If media companies and social media is trying to combat miss information why is this the first search result when you look up this group that supposedly supports it in advertising backs it. Why is that? That?

Gals and guys!
It seems we are under different circumstances now in the pandemia. Now, that the “developed countries” citizens are vaccinated, this turned out as a flu. We weren’t able to stop the pandemia before it became what it became - a pandemia- . Unluckily we lost many people because of our ignorance. Luckily, with the vaccines and new medications covid-19 is becoming as another virus, as the flu. It’s only a matter of time ( a little of time) that here, in developed countries, it becomes another ordinary desease. I wonder what’s the point in restrictions now? We must be so grateful to scientist who achieved a vaccine in such short period of time. This is a story of failure and victory at the same time. We are able to do the best and the worst, at the same time. Thanks, Science! __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. Cluster C traits. Trying to improve my English. Different protocoles for future epidemia are responsibility of the different governments in order to avoid another pandemia. Why so many restrictions now? And why such a harassment on people who doesn’t want to be vaccinated. Now, it’s up to them. This is at least, how I see the issue now. Of course, I’m not even close to be an expert in the matter, but I see the situation has changed and it seems there are now more restrictions than before what it’s nonsensical. __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression. @Discombobulated - I hope you stick around. I would miss your contributions.
Case numbers are spiking here with over 8,000 today. The government says it has no intention of new lockdowns, but some groups like the Medical College, which is essentially a doctors' political union, not a professional association, is saying they should be considered. In the end, I don't think they should impose them. Last time my municipality was sent to lockdown and then was released, cases were higher at the end of the lockdown than when we started. In developing countries like here, people in the informal economy will risk going out because they depend on the money they bring in daily to eat. Small businesses that have to close will take yet another hit. On top of that most pandemic aid programs have expired. My birthday will have to be takeout, no dining in. My husband is way to nervous about the increasing numbers it even took some convincing him to agree with takeout. |

I want to start my post off by making it clear that I don’t want to mislead anyone and I am sorry for any confusion I caused. Previously I wrote about blood antibody tests, in the context of my own experience in a government study. I want to state they are completely legal in my country, the UK. I now understand it is not the same in all countries. I understand that all the way through the pandemic our own governments have handled responses differently according to where we live. That said I am putting a trigger warning on my post as it concerns my recent antibody tests which were done as part of my government’s COVID-19 blood antibody study.
Possible trigger:
Anyhow, I got my third vaccination, a Moderna shot this time, following my two AstraZeneca shots last year. I personally felt that was the right thing for me and others around me and I booked on my days off just in case I had a reaction as I have a few friends and relatives who did react to their 3rd shots. Honestly it’s my own feelings that a few days feeling unwell is worth it. I had just one night feeling shivery, then hot and achy muscles, it actually was similar to how covid felt for me (although everyone seems to experience it differently) and then next day I was fine. I’m hoping this will be the last one for quite some time however, at the moment the UK government are indicating future vaccination will be targeted at those in particular risk group categories. These last few years have been such a long haul for us all but at the moment I think there is light at the end of the tunnel. |

My city is now at 948 cases per 100.000 however in just my neighbourhood it's 1596 I would say that is quite high. More than half confirmed omnicron now.
I had something else I wanted to write but I can't remember now Woke up with a very sore throat that seems to be "deeper/lower" than what I often feel. Considering doing a self test but I only have 4 left :/ and they might not be accurate - there's apparently a list coming out with tests that are able to detect omnicron and so far this one isn't on it. (It's some unknown brand - a "Christmas gift" from my previous employer ) I really don't feel like going out and getting tested though. I'm sad, grumpy, lonely, don't want to be around any people, and it's pouring rain. |
