I feel okay now. I just had a nap and I can relax tonight.

I'm freaked out, and exhausted from being freaked out. I learned yesterday our senior cat has developed a new health problem that will require more tests and a new medication. I love this cat so much, and it just destroys me every time I'm reminded of her mortality. She's okay, and it seems if it is what the vet suspects, we've caught it early, but an ultrasound and another tests have to be done to rule out other causes, etc. It's all money we don't really have, but we've always been willing to increase our debt for our little girl. I don't have a science background and it's really taxing on my little depressed anxious brain to learn all this new medical stuff to make sure she's getting what she needs and not what will harm her.

I'm just mentally worn out. The vet has been great with communication, and being very patient with an obviously anxious cat mom. But man this is overwhelming for me - probably a blip in the week for people without major depression and an anxiety disorder.

Dear shortbread, my wishes for you are very deep & ongoing. Thank you for loving your wonderful cat so much. I really believe that that alone is powerful medicine for your precious little girl. Fingers crossed for you!

I get that my anxiety is and will be very high for awhile. But I don’t get why it’s Valium resistant high this early in the day. Even if there’s crappy stuff going on my Valium usually takes care of it.

I took 2 Valium and a 20 Geodon. Now I’m still very anxious and now exhausted and unable to function.

I feel anxious. I want to sit on my patio, but I don't know where my male cat is. If I go out, I like to know where he is so he doesn't escape when I come back in.

I feel ok now after a walk and my regular meds and I ate too. I also got my antibiotics so there’s that relief of knowing I have them.

I know I have a very small support system then what I had before I moved. But I’m trying not to focus on that right now.

I'm a little anxious about my circumstances. But I'm trying to be positive. If I use distraction, that will help calm me.

I was doing ok until about half an hour ago. Now I’m worried my meds weren’t spread apart enough. I mean I’ve done worse. I’m just on edge right now in general.

I think I need a 4th Valium. I’ve been taking a 4th one about every other day. I still have plenty left. My anxiety is of course going to be bad but I’ve been dealing with it ok.

My anxiety was pretty well controlled today. I didn’t have any coffee or Mountain Dew. Just a few cans of zero sugar Mountain Dew. I ate healthy but I don’t think that had much to do with it. But then again not having a Mountain Dew with my bowl of Cookie Crisp could have paved the way for an easier day. I slept good last night and I don’t know why.

But today my anxiety was low all day.

Anxiety was up in the middle of the night - I hate when that flip is switched and no amount of talking oneself down helps much. I lost a few hours sleep, needed to take another dose of my meds at 4 am and sleep a bit late this morning.

I'm worrying about everything, and trying to just focus on one thing at a time is what helps me, but life is not happening one thing at a time. Feeling a pleasantly hungover from my medication, and hoping I'll do a better job of tackling the hard stuff today. The past few days I've just been distracting myself from the hard things with housework and bingewatcing trashy tv.
