When one person gets let out of jail, do they swap that person with someone the person being released from jail knows?

Idk if this question makes sense I didn't sleep much last night cause of getting fretful and I think tonight might be the same

I don't want to get swapped an get put in a jail when a person I know gets let out

I remember the fear I felt when the prosecution said I had to be a witness before it was decided I didn't have to go after all

Alter corrupt probably changed a word again cause it likes making me sound like a pervert

What punishments do they do to the witnesses if they decide they have to go in like they decided I had to before they changed their minds
