I have managed to go 50 years without making "mistakes" per se.

- I have never been in a car accident,
- I have never been arrested,
- I have never been fired or let go of employment.

And, I notice these days, I am very phobic about making a mistake. I don't want to make a mistake and I beat myself up at anything that comes close.

The problem is that I have gone along time without making a mistake so I don't have the coping ability ...

Anyone else?

Interesting. I think I’ve made some mistakes but nothing drastic. I’ve never been unemployed, laid off or fired either. I’ve never been arrested either lol But I’ve been in accidents-wouldn’t call them mistakes though as I was hit sitting in the red light or driving following rules or I wasn’t even there and my car sat on a parking lot.

I don’t fear minor mistakes but I do have fear of major life changing mistakes like something that could lead to incarceration and ruined lives. I never sit behind the wheel if I had even one drop of alcohol, never will. Never tried drugs. Never tried pot, have no interest but also don’t like to take my chance and lose my job. Luckily I am married to someone who doesn’t want to make big errors in life either

I am ok with challenges though and I can cope with them. Just don’t want life changing mistakes

The Skeezyks has made so many mistakes he may even hold some sort of world record! But methinks Mrs. Skeezyks might well fit into your catagory...

I have actually tried pot (legal where I live) It did nothing at all. I tried, I really tried. My sister tried pot for back pain and immediately lost 30 lbs. So I was hoping it would do that for me.. it didn't. Later I found out it increases insulin sensitivity. My sis is insulin resistant I am not. If it had any effect at all it was a bad one. I kept hearing like the door bang and I would go downstairs only to find the door fine. Was that a hallucination? Well with no weight loss... why keep doing it?

I think I am going to look around for a self help book on this topic. It has gotten a little crippling lately.

It’s legal here too but I have zero interest in anything that is mind altering. I want to be clear in my head and able to drive at all times and be able to make coherent decisions.

In addition to it my husband and I have jobs where use of pot is prohibited regardless if it’s legal in the state. No way no how I’d be doing such a thing or having it in the house. Someone was fired at my husband’s job recently. She wasn’t high but pot was in her system. Fired immediately. No thanks

Oh yeah hallucinations is a common side effect

Self help book is a good idea actually if fear of making mistakes seems too much
