Anxiety Daily Check-In point #8

Bank account is negative, I don't get paid until tomorrow and I"m accruing fees. Considering all that, I'm not that anxious for some reason.

This is a different one from my original who retired. Retired doctor said my risk for heart disease is really low.

Like you I'm supposed to eat certain things and lose weight, but food is one of the few things left to enjoy.

Of course comfort foods.....I don't like carrots or celery to "snack" on, esp. raw! I can't eat raw carrots, I'm not Bugs Bunny! I'm trying them cooked with cinnamon, to see if they are tolerable.

Tomorrow I have an eye doctor appointment for the first time in way too long. I’m told they don’t dilate your eyes anymore but I don’t know for sure.

Nor does it help that my cousin told me horror stories about it when I was little.

Well, it went better than I thought it would.

I have a bit of astigmatism, it turns out, so I’ll be getting glasses in a few weeks. They’re going to be a bit like Drew’s (black framed), too.

Working on calming down like yesterday's storm has, all the alerts and warnings that kept coming up (TV and phone) made me anxious even though I knew I and my car were safe at home.

The logical side of my brain said you're safe but the other parts were in a panic.

The thought of Drew not being the host of TPIR anymore scares me to death.

Nobody, not even him, has said he’s leaving, but I’m still scared - especially since I know he’s not handling Bob’s death well.

Plus, he’s got glaucoma now and even though I know it’s treatable, I’m still scared.

Tldr, I don’t think I’ll be sleeping tonight.

I've been annoyed at myself today because I've been trying to put random things in alphabetical order. I always seem to do this, I know that a situation is never going to arise, yet I'm always practicing them- I mean who is really going to ask me to put the shops in my local high street in alphabetical order.

in fairness, she wasn't doing her job properly, so I had every right to say what I did- but now I think she hates me for it.

My mom was able to reassure me over the whole glaucoma thing. Apparently, you can’t actually die from it.

for a while now, I have been hearing strange sounds from my computer

little anxious over that because I don't know what's causing it, if I need to do anything, or if my computer is about to break down.

honestly I've had it for.. what, coming on 5 years. it would not shock me at this point.

Drew left X for Threads and Bluesky (both of which I'm on).

...but part of me is scared that he might get all pretentious and stop reposting/replying to people even though that's not likely cause he's such a love junkie and nothing stopped him before.

I'm probably overthinking this but I'm still scared.
