I mailed it in today.

I keep reminding myself that women have voted to successfully reclaim bodily autonomy in every state election where it was possible to so far. I am hoping that will continue with the federal election.

Looking at the ads, repubs's ads will show ONE (very white!) person stating, kamala must (or can - forget which) never be president. Whereas kamalas ads will say, look, another unlikely group likes kamala! I just think that contrast in focus is interesting. And puzzling.

I find the Harris ads on the whole to be more positive and forward much better for blood pressure than the far right.

presidental election anxiety/panic

I saw a headline from the LA Times saying the election is far from "over" on election night. And that it will drag on well past that. I was scared to read it; I don't want to know.

Yeah the early votes will be for Harris, but I don’t want to know after that! I don’t plan on turning the tv on that night and going to bed early with a book, hopefully by morning it will be all worked out. Hopefully in Harris’s favor. If not I’ll melt down then. Oy!

I'm getting flashbacks to 2016 when I woke up to the shocking news who our new president was! I was CRUSHED. If we didn't have this Electoral College, Clinton would have won as she won the popular vote.

Like you I'll turn in early but I'm going to watch reruns of my favorite shows, NOT election coverage. That will be on all the major channels anyway, all programming pre-empted.

I'll certainly have a melt down if Orange Turd wins. A piece of cake is in the freezer for just this purpose.......OR to celebrate.

For me this is so much worse than 2020 was...

Oh it is much worse. 2016 administration was a test drive for rump. This time from the get go he’s gonna do massive firing of anyone who supports the constitution or government over loyalty to him and place henchmen in high places even if they can’t get security clearance. The number one requirement is loyalty to rump. If they are crooked too so much the better. The fall of USA

I get visions of pottersville from it’s a wonderful life. Only it would be called trumpsville and owned by Putin.

Or Pleasantville, that comedic movie with a spoof of 1950's life. Except it would be Crapville, $hitville, or Trumptown. Rump Town? Orange Town?

We'll find ourselves in a black and white world. Or orange.

Well I’m devastated. I thought it would take a few more days and I was ready to continue doing what worked for me yesterday:

Avoid the news completely, even the weather. I cleaned some of my bathroom, watched reruns of a favorite show where I knew the outcome and worked out at the gym. Took something to calm myself at bedtime and turned in early. I did a bit of reading.

I wasn’t ready to hear the news and someone HAD to just blurt it out to me.

It may be over but I’m still in a panic 😱 This country is EFFED now.

The postage stamps should read "#1 Sht hle country." Not that the stamps are worth anything anyway.

I AM glad their plans for a civil war are smashed. Morons.

I didn't even need the news. All night, celebratory gunfire, and maybe I'm stereotyping, but I don't think someone voting for Kamala Harris would be shooting their rifle for 6 hours in the middle of the night because she won.

I haven't been able to sleep well or even read much (my usual escape) since this happened. I was awake for hours last night imagining all the dystopian things that will happen.

That's because nobody can stop this loose cannon.
