Was back doing the allotment this morning.Weather was much more pleasant than last week.Did some more twitching and helped to dig three trenches to put potatoes in.
Then with the time a few of us attempted to centralise all the rubbish that is spread hither and thither around the allotment plot.
The number of plastic and glass bottles that had been dumped(not by us i hasten to add) had to be seen to be believed. All of them or nearly all of them recyclable.

Found out today the size of the allotment.Apparently allotments are measured in poles and the standard size is 10 poles. In modern measurements, this is equal to 250 square metres.
Our plot is 15 poles therefore 375 square metres.

Now i've got over my fear of getting there i'm actually enjoying it.It's mentally quite relaxing.

I always feel better when I get outside, and the thing with gardening and growing your own vegetables is that you can really see results. Back at the allotment today

Glad you are enjoying it! Back at the allotment today

Yes, I love puttering about, not having to do anything very fast or one particular way that someone else has set. We had warm weather yesterday but today is a bit breezy and much cooler so I don't know if I'll wander out to garden or not. We've had good rain so my beans I put in and lettuces are well enough watered for a day or two.

Weather has been slightly better here, but it keeps teasing us. Typical Michigan weather!
