Does anyone here suffer from some sort of Health related Anxiety, obsessions over bad things like cancer stroke or heart attack to name a few? Im talking something happens to you and you self diagnose sending yourself into a panic? I have been having anxiety attacks all week and Im so drained, I need some medical help and I just can't afford it. Im affraid to be alone for fear of droping dead.

God help me

I have had obssesions before and it's not fun. Are you in nursing school or med school? It's common to self-diagnose when studying diseases. If not, then it sounds like OCD. Seek a good therapist and psychiatrist.

Hello Cassie,

I can relate to you in many ways. After my 1st panic attack I always thought it was my heart, stroke, etc. it took 3 weeks of no sleep , not being able to eat etc. to finally get a doc to help.My anxiety at the beginning made my heart race like crazy. I know you don't have medical but reach out ....the meds helped me slow down and be able to feel like I had some control. I was totally against medication but knew I was exhausted and couldn't function at work or at home. There are good books about anxiety at the library and when I read it helped me to know I was not alone in how I felt.

Cassie, for me its kind of like a roller coaster. Like others have posted if you can get your mind on to something else that can help. I will pray today that a door will open and you will find a good therapist or doc. take care and keep posting ......we care. Health related Anxiety?

I used to get anxious over breast cancer.. only because my body was changing and felt a bit weird "there" but I was fine, but I do worry from time to time, more with other people then myself however. Health related Anxiety?
