Hi folks,

I'd like to share a small victory with people who know the score.

I was invited to have lunch with a new friend today, visit his house and then go out to a restaurant.

When I woke up this morning I was in an anxiety state, pretty much as bad as it gets. I could either cancel or go. I drove over to his house, feeling like death, and then went in, after walking around for a while to get my breath. As a 'get out' I mentioned to him and his wife that I had eaten something that disagreed with me the night before and wasn't feeling too well. Every fibre in me was wanting to run for the door.

He showed me round the house, we had some tea, and chatted about the US election and stuff. Then we went into town, to a crowded restaurant, and found the only remaining table. I was hanging.

I managed to get away with eating just some soup (leaving the roll) we chatted some more and then we went our ways.
Now, I'm home and resting and of course the anxiety has lifted. Guess what,? yes, now I'm having something to eat.

As you folks will know, when the anxiety is there it feels so physical that you can't believe you're not really sick, and then when it lifts you realise that it was the same old thing yet again. What a palaver!

PS - My new friend is a really nice guy, and I'm glad I visited.

Cheers, Myzen Proud of myself
