I am very proud of myself today.
I was with my dad today at the Social Security office to get him put on as my representative payee and while we were waiting our turn in walked in a guy that looked like someone from my past. Anyway usually when I see someone that looks like him or I see anything surrounding anything regarding this person I have a panic attack. Well my dad knows nothing about why this happens or even that it does. I won't go into details about why it does as it could trigger someone if you would like to know more about it PM me and I will go into more details about it there. Anyway I was trying not have a panic attack and remembered the deep breathing exercises I was taught last summer in the hospital and IT WORKED!!! I was able to survive the incident even with the guy coming over and sitting down right in front of me. I wasn't sure what I was going to do if I hadn't been able to control it. So today I am proud of myself. Jbug
