I'm wondering if its even possible if anyone knows any tricks to help with my social anxiety, I'm scared to see a doctor in fear of what he/she will say or think of me. I'm ashamed of how I have twitches and sweating and when I go to speak it's like a frog in the throat, just because I'm in a new place or I walk by somebody on the street and they look at me etc. etc.. I haven't dated for over a year because of those symptoms and more, but I was just asked out and I would love to go but I feel so disgusting when I freak out because I'm not in my element. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. Thank You

Well sweetie you don't havr to be afraid here, everyone here has pretty much felt what your going through.
The support from this forum is exellent Never be afraid of seeing a t or dr they are there for you to help not hurt. ![]() Reah

I agree with Reah. Hubby was afraid of going to his pdoc and his t, but now that he's been. He isn't afraid. Once you find the right combo of t/pdoc and meds, things get better. Be prepared to have to try a couple t's...it's worth it in the end.

I wish I knew some tricks that could help you, but I don't. Please listen to the very good advice above. The right help can give you so much better quality of life. Is there any way to meet your date in a safe (for you) environment ? I feel so much empathy for you? Please feel free to pm me if I can help. place
