I am just wondering if anyone else has ever felt like thier ankles are numb and feel detached.. er something like that. I have panic attacks (that i've learned to control--sort of) and I was just wondering if it was just another weird symptom. If anyone has heard of this please let me know! thanks

Snookums:
To be honest with you, I know how you feel , sort of. When I had panic attacks, my legs would go numb from the knee down. I don't think it's a weird symptom, I really think it's a common symptom in people who do have panic disorders/attacks. I've heard of it several times from others who also have panic attacks that something goes numb, maybe arm, maybe hand or legs like mine do. I hope this helps! Take Care of yourself, Kimberly. |

You can actually get depersonalization with Anxiety which could be that detachted feeling, same with derealization and numbness/tingling of the extremeties.
I normaly got the tingling in my face and neck mainly, but i've heard of people getting it elsewhere. |

I actually get numb all over, and feel like I'm outside of my entire body. It usually starts in the limbs though. I always just thought this was because when I have a panic attack my breathing gets really shallow and fast, hyperventilating. Although now that I think about it, I get the detached feeling before I start to hyperventilate a lot too.
