So I was doing really well. Therapy for OCD is going great and my new medicine is working out. I did have some drowsiness issues, so my doctor recommended trying to stop my other medicine, which I have been on several years. I only take a small dose of this medicine, and it does make me groggy in the morning after taking it at night. I felt confident enough to give quitting it a try. Well, a day after I stopped, I started getting real anxious again. I tried to steel myself into just giving it a week off the medicine, and I held out for the night. But, ultimatelly, I failed. I started back on it. Now, I still feel the remnants of last night's anxiety, and I also feel like a bit of a wimp. I had a couple people supporting me in my effort to stop the medicine, and I am sure they will understand, but I feel bad about telling them.

hmm waiting for meds and then coming off of them sucks a lot. but i am glad to hear that your ocd therapy is going so well. don't feel defeated, but you might want to talk to your doctor about your anxiety. and remember that we are always here to listen and i'm here if you even just need to talk i'm a good listener and also have anxiety and ocd so i might be able to help!

it's the quality of life that counts. Good job for trying. Especially if it is a benzodiazapine. Life goes on and we must care for our selves. You tried and that is good.

Just remember, set backs will happen to everyone and they are no reason to feel bad. Talk to your support people and they will understand I am sure. The important thing is to continue trying.
Take care, place
