When I get that anxious, I work to get "black and white" (Helps that I'm good at that kind of thinking naturally :-)
Tomorrow you'll either pass or fail. Think about the calculus and the material rather than whether you'll pass or fail as that's not up to you. All you can do is work as hard as you can learning the material and being interested in the material/making it relevant to your life and what you already know so you learn it better/more easily. Why are you taking calculus? If you need it to be trained for X profession, then think about that profession and why you want to be it and just look at this as one of the little steps along the way. If you fail calculus, you can take it again until you pass! It's just a course, it's not part of "you" and doesn't prove anything about you. It does not affect whether you're anxious or kind or loving or will become happily married and the mother of twelve children :-) or anything at all about "life". Get some inspiration from Isaac Newton :-) His job was much harder, he had to invent calculus! I'm sure he wouldn't want you to fail, pretend you and he are friends and he's going to help you :-)

I agree with Perna, that sounds like a good plan. Can you also try some relaxation exercises like meditation or breathing exercises. I like to imagine a quiet garden and when I get to stressed I visit that in my mind to relax, then try whatever task I am trying to complete. Good luck tomorrow. ![]()

I don't know what semester you're in but it gets harder to really mess up that badly the longer you have been to school. I was on academic probation my 6th semester (junior year) in school, I flunked economics and got a D in one of my major courses, etc. and yet I graduated on time. If you're doing well in all your other courses and have done well all along, give yourself a little "reality" break and redo the "worst case" scenario where you'd have a slightly lower GPA is all. I barely graduated so my GPA was such that I couldn't go to grad school but I got another bachelor's degree 35 years later and went to grad school from there! Don't make "definite" plans for too far ahead because Life is going to change them. You won't always be a student, there are other roles out there after school and no matter what you plan, something else is going to happen, it won't be exactly like you imagine. This is one course, not your entire life.

Aw, I'm sorry you're in a crummy situation. I am actually in the same myself. The advice I can offer is this.. Spend some time relaxing, breathing, and trying to block the pass/fail ultimatum from your mind. Once you can do that, your studying will become more productive. If you can, just try to relax, it will make a big difference. Good luck

It sounds really silly, but I always take something with me to exams. Sometimes it's a doll, sometimes a beanie baby; I take it and sit it on the desk holding my spare pencil while I take the test. Whenever I start to freak out, I just look at the cute little animal holding the pencil and smile. Sometimes I'll even play with its paws a bit until I've calmed down enough to go back to the test.
