I just got a bad grade on a paper that is worth a lot. Now I feel worthless and part of me just wishes I was dead. I'm beating myself up, emotionally, and actually. I am not coping with this and I have rarely coped well with such problems.

William, please do not beat yourself up about a bad grade...I have figured out that it is not worth it to do this...you should instead take the bad grade, see where you went wrong, and learn from it...and congratulate yourself when you make little milestones...focus on the positive, not the negative. Wishing you the best

Try to remember that this is one bad grade, it doesn't have to effect the rest of your life. Please practice good self care, try anything that you enjoy especially things that relax you like reading a book or taking a walk. And remember most people end up with a bad grade at some point, we just have to learn our lessons and let that help us next time.
