I know with me I can feel it coming in my stoamch. Or a headaches. It can also speed up your heart rate. It can come from to much stress. When you feel one coming on , breath, try to find a calm place, think calming thoughts. relax if you can. Try to see what has set you off. Know with in time it will pass........try to focus on something else |

Often I can lay in bed and make my mind dissappear into an empty void for hours. My doctor said this was unhealthy. Yesterday after half a day with anxiety so great I felt I was going to implode, I laid down. However my mind just couldn't stop racing from one thought to another.

Hello and Welcome
Anxiety can lead into a panic attack and panic attacks are the bodies defense mechanisms for the protection of ourselves. The flight or fight response it gets the adrenalin running because our mind thinks there is a threat, it is the sign our bodies are overreacting to the stress. When anxiety is peaking we tend to get a fast heartbeat (adrenalin) so our body goes into full fight or flight response for the threat but really there is no threat its just the stress has overwhelmed us. Staying calm and sit down if you can and focus on your breathing.' Breathing in counting slowly in your mind to 8 then exhaling slowly to 0, this will only last for a couple of minutes. And it can make you feel somewhat tired after this episode if you can sit for a couple of more minutes and sip some water this may help as the breathing can give you a dry mouth. I have found this useful and I hope it helps you as well. Regards Scoobywho ![]()
