Hey everybody,
I just joined this site today and I hope I can get some help or just relief. I've been suffering from anxiety and depression for a couple years and is working through the process of finding the right medications.
I've been in and out of the hospital 3 times already and I just feel hopeless because when am I going to feel happy again? All the doctors who've seen me believe I had ADHD and OCD and even voices in my head and precribed me with meds for those reasons.
The last hospital trip I had and I got evaluated help me relize that I had many of the symptoms of GAD disorder.
I feel so stupid because all this time I believed I had it and the doctors never even found out. Ugh it makes me so frusterated.
Well I'm going to see my new doctor on wensday so I can tell her about my symptoms. I really hope that my anxiety will go down and sadness too. I want to feel happy again.

If anybody here has GAD , what are your main worries?
e.g. mine are homework, death, grades, tests
Id love to know. thnks bye!

Hello SicilliaBlue, it's nice to meet you, welcome to psych central.
You have come to the right place to meet new friends and find support for what you are going through. I have GAD, my worries are basically everything but some of that is because I have OCD too and I obsessionally worry.
I hope to see you around and get to know you better.

The anxiety sux, I know Just have faith that it will ease. It may take some time, some changes, but those anxieties will slowly resolve. When you discover the treatment and prevention that works for you, stick with it !

For me, standing up to my fear and doing it anyway is what was required to overcome my panic disorder. Anxiety does come up when I feel completely overwhelmed by life. My main worries are: No one loves me. I am a burden upon my children. Those thoughts cause a lot of anxiety for me. Thanks a lot ! Jeez...

Best wishes to you! Welcome to the group
