I'm new to all this and hoping to connect with people in similar situations.
Newly diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety/ panic disorder and mild agoraphobia.
Trying meds but not always finding them helpful, any suggestions would be welcome.

Hello Tracy, it's nice to meet you. Do you see a therapist? Do you know any relaxation techniques?
There are a lot of different relaxation techniques that may help you including meditation or deep breathing exercises, keep reading here there are a lot of resources here that also may help.
Welcome to psych central, I hope to see you around.

I am due to see a therapist in april, and just the thought of that scares me to death! Just thinking about it I start to shake and my heart palpates and I break out in a cold sweat.
Meds are still at really low doses due to problems with tolerance but the clonazepam is helping me to sleep a little better.
Thank you for replying to me, I'ts nice to have someone to share with.

Hello Tracy!

I would be more then happy to share my story with you. I also was diagnosed with Panic and anxitey as well as mild agaoaphobia about 8 months ago now.

It does get better, with thearapy, yoga, breathing (lots of breathing) and good old self determination, it gets better.
Thanks for this!

Well I'm glad to hear that but my symptoms seem to be getting worse instead of better? Maybe I need stronger meds?
Thanks for this!
